The Southern-flavored funnyman had a comedy career that spanned more than two decades.
Ralphie May, who most know from the NBC show Last Comic Standing, has passed away due to cardiac arrest, according to his manager, Judie Marmel.
He was only 45-years-old.
May, a charming Southern-flavored funnyman, was full of life and style. Able to take his physical appearance and turn it into detailed stories of triumph, shortcomings and hilarity — May was frequently billed as a headliner in some of the best clubs across the country.
Most recently, May was forced to cancel a handful of dates due to his bout with pneumonia. As he was staying in a private residence in Las Vegas to recover, he was discovered lifeless early Friday morning (Oct. 6), possibly by his manager.
May is survived by his wife, Lahna Turner, and child April June May and August James May.
God bless you, Ralphie, and may you rest in peace.
